My life on earth - Drawings
For my personal philosophy project, I created an artistic interoperation of my childhood. I incorporated parts of my life that were remind me of that time, such as a little girl's eyes, a dog and baby blanket in the yard, cowgirl boots, and roses. I interpreted this project as how I've become myself. I believe I've always been an observer, and being able to notice the beauty in little things since I was a child has shaped my personality and attention to specific things as a teenager.
New Insights
For most of my life, it's been hard to put my perspective and experiences into words. Whether it be because those experiences hurt my heart or I've never been able to vocalize them, I had to push myself to create the work for this unit. I've gained skills to be more vulnerable with my writing and my art that I believe I'll carry with me forever.
Further Questions and Intellectual Work Left to Do
I'm not even a quarter of a way through my life. My personal philosophy still has time to mold to the shape that my soul will take on, but until then I will continue trying my best to be an observer in life, and appreciate the little things. I'll continue to ask myself questions about how I got to where I am, and how my opinions and knowledge has developed. It's important to keep questioning myself, but not become swallowed whole by anxiety.
