The Revolutionary Women of Igbo
For our Imperialism Project this year I researched, studied, and reflected on the courageous women of the Igbo tribes in the late 1920s. These woman took it upon themselves to create action and change in a community that they once before felt powerless in. This story inspires me, a young woman, and hopefully all peers around me. I created an acrylic painting and an essay composed of emotion, power, and pride.
